Go to the setup page after connecting to the Linksys RE6500 Setup and log in with the default credentials. Now, take these steps:

Step 1: Ensure that your extender is connected to a power source.

Step 2: Attach your extender to your device with an Ethernet cable.

Step 3: Type 192.168.1.240 into the address bar of your web browser. This is the default address for all Linksys Wireless range extenders.

Phase 4: Now go to the configuration page for your Linksys Range Extender and type in the name of your range extender. Then, using the same SSID number as your router or access point, click Save when you’re done.
