Before signing a BESS contract, check:

✅ Energy throughput
✅ Equivalent full cycles
✅ Depth of discharge
✅ Charge & discharge C-rate
✅ Temperature limits
✅ Measurement boundary
✅ Warranty exclusions
✅ Required operating conditions
✅ Maintenance and data requirements
✅ Remedy if guaranteed performance is missedOne of the biggest mistakes is assuming that two “10-year warranties” provide the same protection.
They may not.
The warranty must also match the project’s real dispatch profile. A system designed for daily peak shaving can consume its warranted throughput very differently from a system operating only a few times per month.
