FASHION DRAWING

Why are any pencils so successful for fashion drawing artists? Because people have used them since kindergarten! They are the comfort food of art supplies. You use pencils to start your sketch, put finishing touches on it, and add all sorts of details in between.

Many beginning artists do not know how many types of pencils they can choose from. Using different kinds of pencils for your cool drawings makes a huge difference, so check out the following sections to discover the other properties.

Different pencils lead: Hard or soft, light or dark

The lead (which is made of the ground-up graph and a filler) is the center of the pencil. Graphic pencils come in several grades, based on the hardness and darkness of the lead:

·        H: H stands for hard pencil. They are usually designated as 2H, 4H, 6H, or 8H, although different brands use different labels. Some brands include a 9H. What is consistent is that a higher number means a more complex lead, creating a light pencil line. You use an H pencil when you don’t plan on erasing lines after you’ve done the line drawing or if you want your strings to be lighter.

·        B: B means black pencil. They are commonly designated as 2B, 4B, 6B, and 8B, with some brands including a 9B. For B pencils, larger numbers indicate darker lines. B pencils are handy if you want to add dark features, textures, or thick lines or use darker paper, and you need to see your tubes better.

·        HB: At the central point of the lead range is a pencil of HB. It is the type of pencil most artists use, as it is not too dark and not too light. It’s excellent for beginners who have just discovered pencil types, as it’s excellent for everyday sketching when you’re not worried about a drawing or dark.

An 8H pencil, for example, draws a line very lightly. At the other end of the pencil sharpener is the 8B pencil, which is a cousin of a charcoal pencil and is very dark. Note that the scale is not standard, so two brands with the same grade may not be equally unclear.

Here are a few fashion drawing secrets: Attempt to dodge 4H, 6H, and 8H pencils of any trademark. The lines they make are often light, and deleting can be challenging because these pencils leave indentations on the paper.

FASHION DRAWING Some favorite pencils

There is no good or lousy pencil; there are only pencils that do what you want them to do! The pencils you like may be different from someone else’s, even if you draw similar types of art.

·        Faber-Castell graphite pencils: Smooth and even pencils, ranging from 6H to 8B.

·        Prismacolor Turquoise Drawing pencils: The Turquoise line of graphite pencils have an excellent feel, is not easily broken, and ranges from 9H to 9B.

·        Raffiné Art Sketch 7000 Creative Mark pencil: From 6H to 8B, this brand was famous in art schools.

·        Prismacolor (formerly Sanford Design) Ebony pencils: If you’re looking for a solid and bold line, this pencil is for you. The dark, broad lines and instant smoothness of this “jet black” graphic pencil are great for the fashion attitude.

·        Mechanical pencils: Many artists are fond of mechanical pencils on both smooth and textured paper. Mechanical pencils do not come in a range of graphite types.

·        General charcoal pencils (incredibly soft): Shoot for these pencils (make sure you sharpen them properly) if you want to make a line that comes from thick to thin with just a little smudge. Never use charcoal sticks; this is the single charcoal pencil that goes when it comes to fashion information.

Try different pencils to find your favourite. Try them on different types of paper also. Keep the pencils in your hand, write a few words, and then draw some circles and straight lines. Notice how smooth the line is, along with how dark or dark it is. Hold the pencil to its side to see how easy or complicated the colour is in shape. Turning a pencil to its side will help you determine if the pencil is suitable for shading.

Keep your pencil in the shape of the tiptop.

Both electric and standard pencil sharpeners have their benefits. Electric ones are easy and fast.

The pencils have spines, which are made of graphite line inside. Try not to drop your pencils or treat them casually; otherwise, the spines inside may break. Even if you can’t see them, they die inside the ranges, making the pencils harder to harden.

Erasers for fashion drawing

Easy landscape drawing pencils usually do not come with erasers, so you will need to purchase a separate eraser. Here are the two main types:

·        Gum art fillers: These are cheap, beige, rectangular, and about an inch or longer. They are good at removing a large area.

·        Smudges: Pinch erasers are great for pressing on your paper to remove smudges or to lighten pencil lines. They are also great to knead and shape to a sharp point if you need to erase a small area.
